If you have traditional full height fruit trees and want to keep your feet safely on the ground, (rather than climbing a ladder), then this is a must. Of course you need the extending pole handle to attach it to. The castellated hoop top has a single, built-in knife blade carefully concealed in one recess, for easing more stubborn fruit from their twigs. In use, I did notice that the swivel joint, to alter the angle of the tool to the handle, could not really be tightened enough but it did the job. SAFETY NOTE: I store the tool by pushing the collecting bag through the castellated hoop so that it protects hands from accidentally coming into contact with the cutting blade. This is quite an expensive add-on tool but the overall quality looks good - it needs to be though, to recoup its value over many years.
