  I consider myself an avid DIY'er and I'm a professional heavy duty truck mechanic. When I first seen this set, I was skeptical. Multipurpose tools are rarely useful. This one, however, changes all that.
  
  The traditional adjustable wrench works smoothly and is much improved over the years. It grips nuts with ease. Unthreading the adjustable wrench and flipping the ear around, you get an adjustable pipe wrench! Now, I wouldn't say it's quite as good as a real pipe wrench, but it's a heck of lot easier to carry around and does a majority of tasks requiring a pipe wrench with ease. Pretty cool.
  
  On the other end of the wrench is an open end ratchet. This design has been around awhile from the GearWrench family of tools. It is a brilliant design that allows long studs to pass through the socket while you tighten or loosen the nut. The spline sockets that come with it work well on SAE and Metric nuts and bolts as well as Square and Spline headed bolts and nuts. In my experience, If the splines can grab onto to the fastener, the tool can get job done. That said, I did have difficulty with it grabbing onto slightly rounded fasteners.
  
  The build quality of this tool is excellent. I like the black oxide look of this tool, but be aware that ANY black oxide tool can rust if kept in a humid enviroment. I simply wipe an oiled rag over mine if I plan to store it for awhile and they stay looking great.
  
  Overall, I like this tool for general purpose use and it is the first tool I grab for around the home/auto/acreage use.
